Because of the hard work my parents did and the perseverance they had while I was growing up, I was never aware of how much we lacked. My Father had to cycle far to work every morning and my Mother worked long, tiring nights to provide for me and my sister while still finding time to help us with our education as they knew how important it would be in our future. Watching how hard they worked and how much they still persevere to this day, I realised that I too can achieve my aspirations with the future they have provided me and my own perseverance and drive for success. For me, success would be working in Creative Media, putting all of my determination and hard work into creating entertainment and art. 

 

I have always had a fascination with graphic design and video production. I have tried time and time again to make a career out of it previously, which only made my passion stronger. My goal is to obtain my qualifications and learn as much as I can about every principle, method and technique so I can use them to create impressive forms of media. While other children were watching movies, I was invested in finding as much behind-the-scenes content as I could, watching it over and over again figuring out how they truly made Harry Potter fly or how Iron Man was able to survive a fall from space. Naturally, this made me want to try video production myself. Throughout the entirety of my school life, I would make all kinds of videos, from cloning myself and fighting monsters in my back garden to creating a complex MMA documentary and managing social media for a prestigious car company in the present day. My skills only grew and eventually, I would make complex advertisements and music videos. The best part was always seeing the reactions from friends and family, seeing them have that same fascination I had when I was younger, wondering how such pieces were created is the most rewarding part of creative media for me. 

 

When I work in the creative media industry, I hope to not only help businesses grow with advertising or help to create content that people can use as an escape from everyday life, but to also to inspire others to grow the industry in the same way I was inspired. Media is a necessity for everyday life, everywhere you look there is a design, a song or a show that would have been impossible to create without a team of media enthusiasts. With qualifications in Creative Media Production, I will persevere and work as hard as I can to turn my passion into a career and give back to the industry that made me who I am.
